At one time, having access to top-of-the-line impressive gear is the key to shooting a great film. Not any more! With the rise of smartphone technology that little device you’re using to text, tweet and play Candy Crush is now one of the greatest tools for low-to-no budget filmmakers.
For this project students will create a narrative composed entirely of their own images and sounds captured on phones or a DSLR camera (if you have one) Follow this link to a brief tutorial on using your eye-phone camera
There are several international festivals that are centered on films shot entirely with phone cameras!!! Take some time and explore how these filmmakers used their camera phones to tell stories.

This Bentley commercial was shot entirely on IPhones. Notice that they make no mention of using the microphone on the IPhone. This is because the camera phone is equipped with an Omni-directional microphone designed for receiving and recording ALL the sound in an environment.
